8140 Compliance

For leaders & buyers

Uncertified heads are a compliance risk — and lost billing.

If you're the FSO, training director, or program manager accountable for keeping a team billable under DoD 8140, every person who misses the 9-month foundational clock is a role you can't fill and revenue you can't recognize. We get the whole team exam-ready and keep you informed.

The problem

Compliance gaps don't announce themselves

You find out a billet is uncovered when a contracting officer asks for proof — not before. Spreadsheets of cert expiry dates go stale, the 9-month clock restarts with every reassignment, and 'Good for Life' certs no longer count under 8140.

  • Every new assignment restarts a fresh 9-month foundational clock.
  • Certifications carry over from 8570 only if current and applicable to the assigned role and proficiency level.
  • Position descriptions still cite 8570 while the workforce must qualify under 8140.

Questions

How teams work with us

How does managed team readiness work?
Your team practices on CertifHub across the certifications their DCWF work roles require, and you receive periodic readiness reporting — who is exam-ready, who needs more time, and where the qualification gaps are. You email contact@certifhub.com to scope seats, roles, and timeline.
Which certifications can you cover for a team?
The CompTIA stack (Security+, CySA+, PenTest+, Network+, A+, Cloud+, SecurityX/CASP+), ISC2 (CISSP, SSCP, CCSP, CC), EC-Council CEH, ISACA CISM/CISA, Cisco CCNA/CyberOps, and GIAC GSEC/GCIH — the credentials that map to DCWF work roles under 8140.
We have contractors — does 8140 or 8570 apply?
Contractor obligations continue under DoD 8570 until the DFARS is updated to incorporate 8140, so many contracts still require Security+ and other 8570 baselines today. The certifications overlap heavily, so getting your team exam-ready now serves both. We can help you map current contract requirements to readiness.
